E-commerce Product Owner

Full-time

32 - 40 hours - Amsterdam

"Why can't everyday parenting essentials be both practical and stylish?" This was the question on Marie-Claire van der Steen's mind in 2018 while searching for a diaper bag. She decided to redesign this parenting staple herself, which led to the creation of Studio Noos-named after her son and ultimate source of inspiration, Noah, aka Noos.

Today, Studio Noos is about much more than just combining functionality and style. With a timeless collection of Mom Bags, changing mats, pouches, backpacks, and other matching essentials, Studio Noos inspires parents and children to make the most of every day, go on adventures together, and create memories for a lifetime.

The Role

Studio Noos is growing fast. We're scaling into new markets, launching marketplaces, and building a team that matches the ambition. To make that growth technically possible, we're looking for an experienced E-commerce Product Owner who combines the day-to-day product ownership of our webshop with ownership of the technical roadmap and the data infrastructure underneath it.

You are the pivot between commerce and technology. You translate commercial ambitions into concrete tickets and releases, keep the sprint cycle tight, and make sure the platform becomes what the brand deserves. You will sit in the e-commerce team, reporting to the E-commerce Lead. For strategic direction and innovation, you'll partner closely with our Head of Ecom & Digital.

This is not a role where you only work through tickets from a fixed backlog. You build the backlog. You shape what our platform becomes over the next two years - and how we build it.

  • What will you do?

    Product Ownership & Backlog Management

    • You own the product backlog and the technical roadmap of the webshop. You prioritize features, integrations, and improvements against commercial impact.
    • You write clear user stories with acceptance criteria that developers can pick up and execute.
    • You run the sprint cycle with our development partners: refinement, planning, review, and retrospective.
    • You translate commercial and marketing plans into concrete quarterly planning and release calendars.

    Platform Development & Agency Management

    • You are the direct link to our development partners. You monitor sprint planning, prioritize the tech backlog, and ensure tickets are clearly briefed and release-ready.
    • You coordinate QA and acceptance testing before features go live - including extensive testing.
    • You document decisions, requirements, and release notes so knowledge is documented.
    • You help shape how our collaboration with development partners evolves over the coming years, and lead any transition without breaking the business.

    Integrations

    • Every integration that makes e-commerce actually work: Shopify Plus, ERP (ITSP), CRM (Klaviyo), analytics, marketplaces, payment and shipping partners. You keep the connective tissue healthy and reliable.

    Data Warehouse Build

    • You lead the design, vendor selection, and delivery - so the whole team finally works from one version of the truth.

    Site Performance & Health

    • Speed, uptime, defect rate, technical maintenance. If something goes down ad-hoc, you align directly with developers, coordinate the fix, and thoroughly test the solution before it goes live.

    Stakeholder & Cross-functional Alignment

    • Regular alignment with the E-commerce Lead on priorities and roadmap. Clear updates to the team on releases, tests, and progress.
    • Translating between commercial stakeholders (marketing, brand, ops) and the development side, so requests are realistic and clearly briefed.

    Innovation Agenda

    • Together with the E-commerce Lead - and with strategic sponsorship from the Head of Ecom & Digital - you shape where the platform goes next, which experiments to run, and which capabilities to invest in.
  • Who are you?

    • You have at least 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in e-commerce, with proven Shopify (Plus) experience.
    • You know Agile/Scrum well and can run a sprint cycle end-to-end. You write user stories and acceptance criteria that developers can actually use.
    • You have real technical depth: you know APIs, integrations, and data flows, and can hold your own in a developer conversation.
    • You have experience managing external development partners. Bonus if you have led a transition to a new dev setup before.
    • You have experience implementing a data warehouse - or have actively contributed to one.
    • Strong prioritization muscle. You know how to say no to good ideas so the great ones can happen.
    • Experience with product management tools (Asana, Jira, or similar).
    • You thrive in scaling environments. Studio Noos is growing fast: direction is clear, but you help build the processes.
    • Clear communication in both directions - with developers and with commercial stakeholders.
    • Excellent command of English is required.

    Nice to have

    • Familiarity with the modern data stack (BigQuery or similar).
    • Knowledge of the Shopify apps ecosystem (Rebuy, Zepto, and similar tools).
    • Background in fashion, lifestyle, or premium DTC.
    • Experience with multi-market / international e-commerce.
  • What do we offer?

    • A key role in a brand that is genuinely in scale-up mode. The work you do here will shape the next phase of our growth.
    • Freedom to shape how we work - including how we build our development model over the coming years.
    • Employee discount and access to our sample sales.
    • On-site pilates class and great coffee at our Amsterdam office.
    • A creative and ambitious team that genuinely cares about what they make.
  • Interested?
